TWO MEN arrested for throwing a hand grenade at the Criminal Court on Saturday night claimed that red shirts were plotting more bomb attacks on up to 100 targets in Bangkok, a security official said yesterday.

Yuttana Yenpinyo and Mahahin Khunthong were caught soon after the attack and detained under martial law.

The red shirts are members of a political movement that supported the administration of former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

Police are seeking arrest warrants for Veerasak Towangchorn, a man alleged to have brought them the grenade used on Saturday, and two women - Nattapat Onming and Thatchapan Pokklong - after the two men incriminated them.

The grenade drama on Saturday night was the second bomb attack in the capital after Yingluck was impeached in January by the National Legislative Assembly over her failure to stop corruption in the rice-pledging scheme.

The first blast occurred in the middle of the Siam shopping mecca, at the Skytrain station, early last month.

Under interrogation by police and military, Yuttana said Nattapat had hired a man called 'Big', whose real name he did not know, and Mahahin to throw a bomb into the courthouse, but the two took the money and failed to act.

Yuttana said he then agreed to carry out the attack for Bt10,000 because he wanted the money to give to his girlfriend for medical expenses in giving birth to their child.

Nattapat said she would give him the money after he completed the job.

Yuttana said 'Big' gave him a round, brown object he believed to be a home-made device with the explosive power of a 'ping-pong bomb'. 'Big' taught Yuttana how to use it.

Mahahin agreed to drive the motorcycle, saying his hand was not in good shape and not strong enough to throw a heavy object.

Yuttana hurled the bomb into the court on Ratchadaphisek Road as he was passing on the back of the motorcycle.

Yuttana said he was a member of a red-shirt group that communicated on a social network called Line. They discussed a plot to bomb at least 100 places, mostly in the capital, through the application Line, Yuttana claimed.
Metropolitan Police chief Lt-General Srivara Ransibrahman-akul said they believed the latest attack was politically motivated. The attackers used a RGD-5 grenade, which was not official issue. After committing the crime and trying to escape, the two resisted arrest and threw a bomb at security officials following them, he said.

Also kommt Nattawut u.a. nun auch bald dran.

A cousin of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has denied involvement in the grenade attack on the Criminal Court in Bangkok on Saturday.

Gen. Chaiyasith Shinawatra was responding to police reports that his name was found in the phone book of the 34-year-old man who allegedly threw a hand grenade at the parking lot of the Criminal Court on 7 March.
Gen. Chaiyasith, who has served as army chief and commander of the Thai armed forces, said today that he had no connection to the bomb plot and only knew the suspect from “a long time ago,” when the man sought his help.

"Whoever comes to seek my help because of some troubles, I have always helped as much as I could. Some people ask for money. Some ask for food," Gen. Chaiyasith said at a press conference at his home in Pathum Thani today.

"It happened long time ago. So long that I forgot about it. As for the intention to drag me into this and attempt to link me to anyone, please, don't drag me into this.

The police have been doing good work — they knew in advance that there would be an attack, so they should focus on that point, instead of focusing the point about the discovery of my phone number," Gen. Chaiyasith said. "It shows that there is an intention to drag me into the case ... They should prepare to see my lawyer, because they are damaging me. I will sue them all, because they like to put misleading questions [to the suspect]. And I am starting to feel suspicious about whether the suspect was persuaded or fooled [in the interrogation]."
einzufordern?
He added, "However, I am confident that the justice system in Thailand would still allow a Shinawatra some place to stand, instead of going after all Shinawatras."
Was diese Frau alles erleiden muss!

http://www.nationmultimedia.com/new/201 ... 6306945548
Police nab two more over blast
THE NATION March 14, 2015 1:00 am
TWO MORE suspects, including a much-wanted woman named Dear, have been arrested for their alleged role in the hand-grenade attack at the Criminal Court in Bangkok last Saturday.
Somyot repeated an earlier police statement saying the four suspects were the same people who carried out a pipe-bomb attack outside Siam Paragon and that they had chosen the Criminal Court because of its symbolic significance. He said neither of the attacks had anything to do with March 15 - the date that is speculated to be the day for simultaneous anti-government attacks. A police source also accused Australia-based Anek Chaichana as being the mastermind of the attack. Anek, who is fleeing lese majeste charges, is aiming to instigate a United Nations intervention in Thailand's post-coup administration, the source added.

The source also said there were other men on the run identified as Bas and Wit who also allegedly attended the meeting held to plan the attack.

First Army Area commander Lt-General Kampanart Ruddit said later that the grenade attack was planned and ordered by certain people living overseas, who were part of a large network.

The volunteer nurse accused of helping to plan a string of bomb attacks across Bangkok has denied any role in the plot, and said she warned her alleged co-conspirators against embarking on a campaign of violence.

Speaking through her lawyer from a cell at Klong Prem Central Prison - formally called the Central Women's Correctional Institution - Nattatida Meewangpla admitted to being a member of the Line group called Thai Pakee ("Thai Assembly"), along with several of her co-accused.

She alleged that fellow suspect Supaporn "Dear" Mitarak had informed her that the group members wanted to launch a string of bomb attacks in the capital as a "Valentine's Day present" to deposed former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.Ms Nattatida's lawyer said that she opposed the plan, and tried to persuade the group to abandon it. "She told Dear that Mr Thaksin wouldn't appreciate it since he is not a violent person," her lawyer, Winyat Chatmontree, told the Bangkok Post Sunday.

Mr Winyat said Ms Nattatida had denied any involvement in the planning or execution of the bomb attacks. "She said it is true that she knew people who were [allegedly] involved with the attacks, but she had nothing to do with the planning," he said.
Also alles klar!
She told me that one military officer took the phone from her and read her Line messages. He was trying to force her to admit that she was part of the bomb attack plan, but she refused," Mr Winyat said. "So that officer took the phone and hit her on her chest. She explained that she was terrified and cried a lot."

http://www.nationmultimedia.com/politic ... 57648.html
IT IS UP to the Internal Security Operations Command to decide whether the red shirts are allowed to go ahead with their gathering on Friday.
April 10 is a symbolic day of political conflicts in the past. We must exercise prudent judgement before granting permission. We need clear details about what activities will be carried out on that day," National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) spokesman Winthai Suvari said yesterday.

The red shirts yesterday sought permission from Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha to hold a merit-making ceremony to mark the 5th anniversary of the 2010 crackdown on red-shirt protesters.
An jedem anderen Tag!
Aber nicht am 10.April !

Am 10.April 2010 wurde die die Gruppe um Oberst Romklao
vorsätzlich heimtückisch in einer Seitenstrasse Kok Wuas
von Thaksins Roten "Men in Black" ermordet.
United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) chairman Jatuporn Prompan had spokesman Thanawut Wichaidit submit a letter to Prayut seeking permission to hold religious rites at Wat Plabplachai on April 10 from 10am to noon, to commemorate those killed in the crackdown from April 10 to May 19, 2010.

He said his group was seeking permission to prevent misunderstanding that UDD intended to violate NCPO's order No 3.2558. He said this activity was in no way politically motivated. "The activity on Friday is purely spiritual and has no political motivations. We will not set up any rally stages," he said.

Jatuporn also led his group to meet Department of Special Investigation (DSI) chief Suwana Suwannajutha to ask about the progress of investigations into the death of 99 people in 2010 and why the agency had replaced the investigators.

He also expressed concern about soldiers being part of the new investigation team.

"There have been reports that before the previous investigation team was replaced, there had been moves to change content in the investigation file to prove that the men in black were involved. If this is the case, then the case would be resolved [as intended]," he said.

Thailand's military junta has asked Redshirts to call off a religious ceremony scheduled for 10 April that would mark the fifth anniversary of a deadly military crackdown on Redshirt protesters in 2010. ..
deputy chairman of the junta, Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan, repeated the junta's stance against the event.

“I am asking for cooperation: don't organize any event during this time, because I don't want it to become a conflict,” he said. “I am asking them to stage personal activities instead of a gathering.”
Speaking today, Gen. Prawit asked Redshirts to follow the example of the military, which has never memorialized the crackdown despite losing soldiers in the violence.

“Many soldiers died [in the crackdown], but we never commemorated it," he said. "If they want to make religious merit, no one will stop them. But they should not gather in large numbers. Please don't make it into a big issue. Soldiers died, too. But no one talks about them. No one asks about them."
Da hat er vollkommen Recht.
Trotzdem sollte man friedliche Demonstrationen an anderen Tagen unbedingt genehmigen.
that would mark the fifth anniversary of a deadly military crackdown on Redshirt protesters in 2010. ..
die Roten "Men in Black" verfolgten!

The United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship has cancelled its merit-making rite for those killed on April 10, 2010, scheduled at a temple in Pathum Thani on Friday, when soldiers showed up and... issued a banning order, UDD leader Jatuporn Promphan said on Thursday.

Richtig!
