Malaysischen
Maschine lieber hier rein:
Rescue crews are searching Indonesian waters for AirAsia Indonesia Flight 8501, which disappeared Sunday with 162 passengers and crew onboard. The plane was flying from Surabaya, Indonesia's second-largest city, and was about halfway to its destination, Singapore, when it vanished from radar.

Q: What could have happened here?

A: It is way too early to know for sure, but here are some options. The plane was in the safest part of flight - just 10 per cent of fatal crashes from 2004 through 2013 occurred while a plane was at cruise elevation, according to a safety study published by Boeing in August.

Passing through bad weather such as severe thunderstorms could have been a factor. Airbus jets have sophisticated computers that automatically adjust to wind shears or other weather disruptions. However, weather - combined with pilot errors - has played a role in past air disasters that occurred at cruise elevation, including the 2009 Air France Flight 447 crash over the Atlantic Ocean.

Another possibility is some type of catastrophic metal fatigue caused by the cycle of pressurization and depressurization associated with each takeoff and landing cycle. This A320 had 23,000 flight hours and 13,600 takeoffs and landings. Many occurred in humid climate, which speeds corrosion. Still, metal fatigue is unlikely because this plane is only 6 years old.

Finally, there is the chance of terrorism or a mass murder by the pilot. There's no evidence of either action at this point, but neither can yet be ruled out.
Q: Isn't this the third Malaysian jet to crash just this year?

A: Sort of. Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared with 239 people aboard soon after taking off from Kuala Lumpur for Beijing on March 8. Its whereabouts and what happened remain one of the biggest mysteries in commercial aviation. Another Malaysia Airlines flight, also a Boeing 777, was shot down over rebel-controlled eastern Ukraine while on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on July 17. All 298 people on board were killed. AirAsia is also based in Malaysia, but Flight 8501 was operated by AirAsia Indonesia, a subsidiary that is 49 per cent owned by the Malaysian parent company. So technically it is an Indonesian airline, but the AirAsia brand is closely tied to the people of Malaysia.

An Indonesia Air Asia Airbus A320-200, registration PK-AXC performing flight QZ-8501 from Surabaya (Indonesia) to Singapore (Singapore) with 155 passengers and 7 crew, was enroute at FL320 over the Java Sea about 120nm eastsoutheast of Pulau Belitung Island at about 06:16L (23:16Z Dec 27th) when radar and radio contact was lost with the aircraft while it was deviating around weather.

A search for the aircraft is underway, the aircraft is believed to have impacted water about 80nm before the island of Pulau Belitung.

http://avherald.com/img/malaysia_b772_9 ... 308_31.jpg
A part, obviously an aircraft part two meters long, was discovered washed ashore on the Island of Reunion (Reunion) on Jul 29th 2015. This discovery stirred intense debate throughout the planet about whether this could be a part of MH-370, a Boeing 777-200 or not, in particular whether the part could be a inboard Flaperon of a Boeing 777-200. There are conflicting views stating the similiarities with the mechanical drawings of the flaperon are striking, others mention the reported dimensions and proportions of the part don't match. Other views are this could be part of a tail plane.

The location at Reunion would not be unexpected, according to drift models and the travel of buoys over the last 16 months, for a part of MH-370.

Malaysia's Department of Transport announced on Jul 30th 2015, that they have dispatched a team of experts to Reunion to determine whether the part found could indeed be a part of the still missing flight MH-370. Malaysia's Minister of Transport cautioned: "until there is tangible and irrefutable evidence that the flaperon does belong to the missing aircraft, it would be premature to speculate."
andere Sache.

BEIJING (AFP) - Chinese relatives of passengers aboard missing flight MH370 expressed anger and disbelief on Thursday, after Malaysia's prime minister said wreckage found on a French Indian Ocean island was from the plane.
