Songkhla on high alert for more possible landslide : governor By The Nation
Sixteen districts of Songkhla province were on high alert Thursday after a landslide in Sa Dao district killed a man and injured several others.
Songkhla governor Winyu Thongsakul said people in many areas, particularly those whose residences are located near hills, have been warned of possible evacuation.
In Muang district, many places are considered at risk of landslides, particularly Tang Kuan, Kao Seng, Roob Chang and Noi hills, the governor said, adding that the authorities of all 16 districts have been ordered to keep a close watch on the situation.
A man, identified as Krisada Sumuang, 29, a teacher at Wachiranukul School, was killed when a landslide occurred in Songkhla municipality at about 4am on Thursday. Rescue workers spent about an hour retrieving his body.
The governor said the landslides could happen again due to continuous heavy rain. The Southern weather department has reported that the heavy rains will continue for a few more days.

11 districts of Narathiwat hit by floods
Narathiwat - Eleven districts of this southern border province were under water following six days of torrential rains.
Three main rivers of the provinces burst their banks and flooded nearby communities.
The 11 districts are Bacho, Joh I Rong, Rusoh, Tak Bai, Chanae, Sugnai Padi, Waeng, Sungai Kolok, Rangae, Yingor, and Muang.
